Youtube still not ideal for long training videos

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

I had to split the clips into 2 GB chunks (19 of them!) using a neat program that splits without transcoding (so its faster). Then I had to upload all of the files onto youtube. I could select all of them at once, but then the browser would crash after 3 uploaded.

Then, I had to select them as private. And then I had to make a playlist. But the playlist doesn't work because these are private videos! So you have to keep this link active while you click on one video to the next. The video editor can't handle video clips that are very long.

The good part of the google video is that you can make links to short clips, or points in a video and use them for training or summaries. I think the video editor will work if you make the clip sections sufficiently short.

Maybe we'll find a good solution to multimedia serving.
